These pages explore some of the practical, everyday differences between life today and in the 1400s for 12 year olds. It’s not an encyclopaedic coverage by any means but I’ve tried to balance some of the more expected differences with some which pupils are less likely to predict. These pages are also included as part of Section 2 of Medieval Lives – Were medieval people very different from us?
The download comprises the 2 pages of Reading (originally pages 10 and 11 of Section 2) plus the teachers' notes – with only minor changes to the original.
