Using the locality to develop historical understanding

This 14 minute film shows how a group of KS2 pupils explored their local village, using a very wide range of sources (photographs, a medieval shoe etc etc) and developed their understanding of chronology.

There’s also a great deal of excellent teaching wisdom and ideas on view from Ian Coulson.

There no need to say more so I won’t!
